I have been trying to do a lot of research about the cut of a diamond. I understand that cut is very important, but cannot figure it out. Any feedback about this rock?

-1.00 carat, round brilliant, VS1, I
-Table=55%
-Depth=62.2%
-Crown=15.6%
-Girdle=1.4-1.9%
-Pavilion Depth=42.8%
-Crown angle=35.2
-Pavilion angle=40.8
-Cutlet=none
-Fluorescence=median blue
-Polish=excellent
-Symmetry=excellent

Thank you!

you might want to check out more on this sight, i know there is alot of info to help people understand all that a diamond is. There also is the Holloway Cut Advisor you can access on this sight, it helps weed out poor performers (light return, scintillation, fire, and spread). This diamond scored a 2 (VG(very good), VG, VG, VG) and is within AGS0 range. If this is still too much info for you, check out this sight more and ask questions, or better yet, search for threads you may have questions about cut. This diamond is good though, very good

Honestly, i have a few items about it I think could be more ideal.

One I never like hitting the 1 carat mark exactly because the price jump is always there, but not the size. Your stone's measurements at 1ct should be about 6.5mm. You don't mention it's dimensions. You can find .98cts stones that are cheaper, higher in color and possibly 6.5mm...I would try.

Also, the table is a bit lower than the ideal would be at about 57% or so...there is always fluctuation, but this chart may help you:

AGA Cut Chart for Round Brilliants

and here is more information on table size and what I mean:
Round stone table size

Allin all it's a good stone, except you will pay a premium for that stone to be EXACTLY 1ct, and in the end you can get a slightly better performing stone with less color at the same price, I am sure...

Good luck!!
