So whats the consensus on being able to legitimately tell whether the rock you give your girl is conflict free or not?

Difficult to know really, from the little I know sometimes the seller is not sure where the stone comes from. Some come with a certificate of originality if you wish to find such a stone its possible.

When you bought it if the salesperson and you got along fine and didn't get into any conflicts, then it is a conflict free diamond.
