Hi everyone, I posted a while back looking for a cushion cut. I have now gone in a different direction and am looking at round cut diamonds. One of the more important items in my search was the upgrade policy. I know eventually we will want to upgrade but don't want to have to double the initial investment. With that in mind I have been looking at white flash diamonds. My price range is about $4K as I am looking to spend around $2k on the setting. I have chosen this diamond.

Does anyone have any opinions?

It looks like a great choice! :) What setting have you decided on?

It's going to be a custom setting. 3 stone with sapphire pear cut side stones and then a loose braid out of metal only no diamond pave.

Does your SO want that design? The reason I am asking is because sometimes couple choose to invest in the center stone and at the first or later anniversary to upgrade the setting. If you are not 100% certain in the design your intended would like, I would be hesitant to spend much on a non-returnable custom design.

Here is a pretty stock setting with pear sapphires as side stones: https://idjewelry.com/14k-white-gold-and-sapphire-3-stones-engagement-ring-er10905w4jsa.html

Thank you for the concern, but she picked the design. Not the first thing I would have picked haha but need to get her what she wants!

Ah ok! Great then! Is WF doing the work?

Before you dive into a $2,000 setting have you and your intended discussed the fact that an upgrade down the line may mean scrapping this setting?

Yes they will most likely be doing the work. I have reached out to get it priced so the $2k quote is based on some local shops I have gotten it priced at.

No we have not thought about that. That's a very good point! I'll make sure to discuss it with her. Thank you!

Any other opinions? It feels like this is a decent bit cheaper then some of their other ACA diamonds so just trying to get some confirmation.

Its a lovely stone and a great choice. You are right there at the .9 mark at a decent price for a super ideal branded stone.

Perfect thank you! I am very excited!
