Compromising with spouse on E-ring

DH also has iffy taste. At best

I must disagree. Your DH has impeccable taste. Look at who he wanted and has as his wife. ❤️

Good taste where it most critically counts.

Oh please! You are just the sweetest thing! <3

After my husband proposed he said he wanted some input into my ring. He had a maximum he wanted to spend, and surprisingly, a minimum. He also wanted a very high clarity center stone. High purity, as he called it. He also wanted it to be colorless, or near colorless. With all that, we didn't have to compromise so much as find a stone that matched my desires of super-ideal cut, at least eye-clean, and I or better color. He knew that I know quite a bit about cut, so he happily let me take the lead on hunting for the stone. I loved his reasoning behind wanting a VVS2 or better, and was glad to go with that. We did a little of the same thing for his wedding band, both had a couple things we wanted, and found one that fills the bill in a beautiful way. Here's my set.
