Hi dear PSers~ not asking for which line is better or worse, just for cut/proportions range, displayed facets structures, optical performance, and your own preferences, is there any differences of characteristics that we consistently find between these two series?
Thx, This is also one of the differences that I found.
I’ve also noted that AVR is generally having thicker girdle, of course I having explore every single inventory. How will this translate into differences of optics, if any?
The difference in girdle thickness should not affect light performance and appearance in any significant way.
Again, the difference in PA is the major one. AVRs tend to have more bubbly appearance than CERs. But this is over simplication. There are CERs that look bubbly and AVRs that look floral depending on TB and LGH.
Is below a good demonstration of bubbly and floral? Of course both pics do not represent the entire lines of both vendors.
The pavilion main facets are not anywhere reaching or near the centre point of the table. Each of these facets are more of a round shape.
The pavilion main facets nearly meet each other at the centre of table.

One of the design considerations that I had in designing the CER was to have a spread that’s very similar to a MRB. During our market research phase, we realized that clients love the OEC faceting but don’t want to sacrifice diameter as compared to a modern round brilliant. So the goal of maximizing spread within the context of an Ideal OEC diamond is something that’s implemented into every CER. You’ll notice that the diameters in most CERs are within about 1%-3% of a comparable Ideal MRB.
Good luck,
Actually the pavilion mains on both diamonds come down to meet the culet. What primarily accounts for any differences you see in the images are crown/pavilion/depth/table which can also be seen via ASET. There are other critical patented differences I'm not privy to discuss in this thread that also impact the optics. On a side note there are tweaks I've since made to the AVR.
