Dear members,

I am new to this forum, and i am looking for a loose diamond for a proposal ring.

Comparing the two images, the red in Item#1 is not as "rich/deep".
Does this mean its light return is not as good as item#2?

BTW, what's your opinion on item#1 (it's in my shortlist)

Thanks for all your valuable advice. Happy Easter!

these 2 diamonds aren't an apple to apple comparison. under different lightings, they will look different. The one on the right will beat the one on the left hands down in spot lighting conditions for brilliance.

Both diamonds are excellent!!! Not enough difference in the diamXrays to choose one over the other. But they are two different cuts, so you need to choose which you like better!

Both nice stones as DS stated I like larger stones so i would prefer the .91

Between the 2, my choice would be your first one - the .94 G SI1. I like that image better. I am concerned about the grey spots at the 12 oclock position.

Talk it over with Jon or Marie and see what they have to say in terms of eyeclean and how they perform.

Color saturation in reflector images is almost always a matter of how the photograph is taken and/or how it's processed after. It has little or nothing to do with the merits of the stone.

Both are lovely stones, both will have magnificent light return. :))

Have Jon shoot you a video of the two performing next to eachother and see which one you like in action.

Most people would go for the larger stone - stone size is the only thing strangers seem to notice.
If you like the way the solasfera has a different look - go for it!

If you do opt for the solasfera make sure that the inclusion on the girdle isn't at risk for any future issues, or set the stone so that it's well protected.
