Comparing the images of two ACAs...please help!

Hi,

My gf and I have been posting pretty extensively over the past few days and have gotten some really great feedback and advice. But I really hope this will be the last post, as we are VERY close to making a decision. We just found another ACA that fits all of our criteria and put it on reserve. So we now have two ACAs on hold with WF, the only difference being a difference in the inclusions/clarity. However, as I look at the images, I do see what appears to me to be quite a difference in what I am seeing. I am not sure how to interpret the images, and what it translates into in real life. I plan to ask the consultant tomorrow to compare the two diamonds and make a recommendation, but I am hoping that you all could please help me figure out how these compare in performance and if there is one that is "better."

Here are the images, diamond #1 is on the left and diamond #2 is on the right. I tried to point out what I see as different. Diamond #1 shows more white and grey in the IS and more green in the ASET. Does that mean is has more light leakage and diamond #2 is the better choice? Does it matter as these are both ACAs? Are they both "guaranteed" to be stunners either way I go?

Any help would be so appreciated. I am definitely going to choose one of these two tomorrow. Thanks so much!!!

Not sure if you can see what I wrote in the pic. Basically this is the differences I wasn't sure about

IS: the 8 pointed star (not sure of the correct name for it) shows more white at the each tip and the sides of the star look thicker and lighter. Also there is more grey in the middle of #1 on the left. Is the IS better for #2 since it has more red?

ASET: Diamond #1's 8 pointed star is thicker and greener, what does that mean?

Hearts: #1 has a lot more white a long the edge

Both beautiful choices. Hopefully someone will still be up to help you with the images.

You are WAY overanalyzing those photos! Both stones will be outstanding. There is nothing inferior about either of those images or diamonds. I don't even need to look at them when choosing between ACA's. I choose based on size, color, and clarity because they are all at the top of the ideal cut range. I advise you to do the same!

Thank you so much for saying this! And you are absolutely right. I am overanalyzing, but it's because I am not really sure what I am looking at or for. lolll. So I am just glad to hear this and it makes me feel a lot more confident on making my choice! Thank you! :D

It's like trying to choose which supermodel you want to date.

I have a VS2 on hold as well and got worried for a moment that it got let go and you picked it up :P

Which did you end up buying?

Can't go wrong either way. I personally would choose the right one if I had to pick, the aset just shows just slightly better, but wouldn't hesitate to get the left one! Unless you have a microscope nobody will be able to tell the difference as far as cut.

Probably just an issue with the intensity of light sources and not indications of cut issues with the diamonds.

^^^ This. If it's an ACA, it's going to knock your socks off. I have ACA's myself, not a one of them is less than stunning.

Thank you all for your responses. I feel very confident with my choice now. We decided on a 1.2 H VS2 ACA. I originally was set on a 1.2 H SI1 but the VS2 was still within our budget and not too much more so we went for it! I will post the details and pics once everything is confirmed. Thanks all!!!

Now to the setting.....
