Comparing 2 princess cuts

I am looking purchasing a princess cut diamond. I have narrowed my choice down to two very similar diamonds. Both have identical color & clarity. Was hoping for some help in making a decision.

Diamond #1
Weight: 1.72 carat
Depth: 69%
Table: 69%
Crown Ht: 8.7%
Pav Ang: 37.6
Pav Depth: 58%

Diamond #2
Weight: 1.66 carat
Depth: 68%
Table: 75%
Crown Ht: 5.4%
Pav Ang: 39.3
Pav Depth: 60.1%

According to AGA cut charts, Diamond #1 should be a much better cut diamond, but I really can''t tell the difference looking at the two.

By analyzing pav & crown info, can anybody tell me if Diamond #1 is significantly better? I would rather not pay up for it, if it is not. Thanks for your help!!

Yes, it is significantly better. The table is smaller, and the crown is higher. Still a bit shallow for my tastes, though. Definitely try to stay above 8% and, if possible, 10% and higher. The table is very nicely sized. It isn't overly deep, which is a good thing too. Can you give us a clue about color and clarity??

Thanks Giangi. Color is E, Clarity is VS1. Any thoughts on what a fair price may be?
