I had no idea that a 1.2mm upgrade would make such. "big" difference. Does this surprise anyone else?
I realize rhere is an optical illusion, as the larger stone is slightly closer to the camera due ti greater depth, but still...
I’ll take another photo with them on an equal plane.
Jimmianne when I was comparing diamonds from Adam I was surprised that I could see a huge difference (to me) when the OECs were less than .2mm apart in diameter. Visually big difference IMO.
Gosh, what an excellent pair those make! I can't remember if you've made a definite decision about what you'll do with the small one, but I still think it really would make a great pendant to go with the 2 ct ring!
DS, it is interesting that they have similarities, on paper as well.
When I scroll through hundreds of ascchers online I always find myself focusing on a very specific look. I like the ones where the center kind of pops out at you, a culet, more clipped corners, table mid-fifties, and slightly off 1.0 ratio.
It makes me wonder if each of us prefers a certain flavor of cut becuase of the way we see and process images : )

The smaller one was removed from that onyx setting which did not work well for me, a solitaire lover.
Nice to hear from you!
I see you are an asscher fan as well
@Jimmianne I saw a photo of your pink stacks in another post - where did you find one just underneath your solitaire, with the cross/flower/Alhambra shaped stones? It’s lovely.
That band is one of my most, if not THE most favorite band.
I found it at a local jewelers and they could or would not tell me the manufacturer. It had no hallmark.
I would love to have another, so if I ever find the source I’ll let you know. I did extensive searching several years ago.
Are you monkeys ink or monkey sink? : )
