Hello All,

I'm considering some different stones. (I have another thread where I talk about the whole situation)

But now my local jeweler is trying to get a stone like the one I like on white flash.

This is the stone from whiteflash:

This the stone the jeweler has access too:
http://www.agslab.com/pdf_sync_reports/104063554016-PLDQR.PDF

The Jeweler quoted the diamond above at about 1000 more then the Whiteflash one so I doubt we will go with it.
But I'm curious on the comparsion.

I will say the HCA on the Whiteflash one is 1.5 and I think the Jewler's HCA is 2.7

I may post a 3rd stone after another diferent jeweler sees what they have that is AGS.

Why don't you just order the WF stone? I certainly wouldn't pay $1000 more. It looks like the WF stone shows hearts images, which is really nice. If the price was equal, I'd still want to see the idealscope image on the jeweler's stone.

Considering the local jeweler had the exact link from WF with their price listed, and he still asked for $1000 more for the same color/clarity, probably means that he can't match it. I agree with DS, go with WF.

Edit: Ah nevermind, I thought this was the place that you gave the link to

I was just curious how their stone compared more then anything.
I will most likely go with WF Or a Different local place.

Because another local place is bringing in some stones for me to look at and they said they will match WF's diamond specs and it will be AGS rated and they will do price as well.
(They had me give them the link to the stone)

But while I'm waiting for them to get back to me the other place sent me this.

It is fine and great to buy locally if the price matches and the stone quality matches. You'll need an idealscope image to be able to compare them. Is the one from WF Expert Selection?

Yeah WF one is from expert selection.

Does the hearts on fire scope thing show similar things to the ideal scope?
I saw some under this scope and it looked very similar to looking through an ideal scope. (Except it was purple)
(The one store has this hearts on fire scope)

No, two different tools.one is a H&A scope and one is a Ideal scope.

Ok Thanks. I haven't seen an ideal scope in person so I wasn't sure.

Update!

So the local Jeweler got an AGS triple 0 diamond in.
It was a little smaller then the whiteflash one but he matched price per carat of the Whiteflash diamond (I had to pay in cash to get that price though which actually just like paying Whiteflash with bankwire anyways)

While I didn't get to see this one with an ideal scope I did get to see it in person and we both liked it a lot so we bought it.

This is the diamond we went with:
http://www.agslab.com/reportTypes/pldqr.php?StoneID=104062427017&Weight=1.037&D=1
The HCA says it is 1.2 and it looks very nice in person.

Now on to the custom ring!

IF you are in wisconsin I have to say the service at The diamond center has been very good!
(The other jeweler kind of acted offened when I didn't want what they had in stock and wanted an AGS or GIA rated diamond. The diamond center was like ok if that is what you want we will find it for you. It seemed like they wanted us to be happy with our purchase instead of just trying to sell us something)
