Colour change YAG arrived

Hi everyone, Just wanted to share photos if this stone. It's from the same cutter as my lab ruby came from.
So it's a colour change YAG, 8.5mm cut in a modified Voltolini Sakura cut (based on the japanese cherry blossom)!
To be fair again I am blown away by the cut and colour of this stone. I have tried to capture the colour change. Depending on the light source it looks like a very saturated morganite or an ametrine!

Hi guys, thanks for your kind comments! I'm thinking, (as the cut is based on the japanese cherry blossom), of a ring with the shape of a twig with leaves.



My cutter surprised me with cut. I had no idea what he was going to do so it was a lovely surprise!
@elle_71125 Yes it's quite a striking colour change. Plus like other YAG material it seems to glow in lower level lighting and turn a very intense pinkish peach!

@Polabowla The colour is like a very peach morganite indoors. In lower level light it seems to glow and turns a very intense peach pink. Then outdoors it changes again to look like ametrine!
My cutter does have a bit of rough left so if anyone is interested let me know!

Hi, sorry for bumping this, but I was just curious as to YAG was. Is it hard and durable?

YAG stands for yttrium aluminium garnet. It is traditionally used in the laser industry but due to it being really durable with a mohs of 8.5 gem cutters love it.
