Peach/orange/soft pinks are NOT in my color wheelhouse so my running joke has always been "At least I don't have to worry about wanting a pad". But when Gene posted this inexpenive lab one, I couldn't resist giving it a try. And the minute I opened the package, I was floored and in love. Probably my favorite stone (real or lab) purchased from him

Thanks! I can’t wait to see it! It’s supposed to be delivered today and is still not here. On pins and needles here!

And, as I suspected, it won’t be delivered today. Just got an alert that they “attempted” delivery but “couldn’t access the delivery location,” which is USPS speak for “we couldn’t be bothered.”:(2

Just wanted to add a few quick shots of the asscher emerald from Gene. The stone arrived on Thursday as I was leaving for the long weekend. I saw it, gasped at color and had to put it away and leave, but I finally had a chance to play with it. The color is unreal, it just glows, and I haven’t had great light here to see it in its best. The cut is gorgeous too of course.

Earlier today - I paid a deposit to Peter Torraca for the last little bit of rough he has from the same boule @lovedogs new-to-her ring came from.

Fingers crossed there’s enough for a 7-8mm
version of this shape and facet pattern

as I’m unsure newer acquisitions of ‘same’ color boule he has is indeed the same.
Fingers crossed!

Hello colored stone lovers, I am completely clueless about colored stones and have never owned one. That said, I have a question for you. I have contemplated a 3 stone ring of diamond in the middle and a sapphire on either side. Is it a good idea to get lab created sapphires for this project? In this case, the center diamond is not a lab diamond, it is a naturally occurring diamond (if that is what it is called!) . Also, I do not plan on doing this anytime soon, so this is more of a general question. Thank you =)2 . I apologise if this is thread-jacking.

Thanks Elle, it really is a gorgeous color! I’m thinking a three-stone ring. Probably with diamond traps. But it won’t happen till next year when I have a budget to set it. For now I’ll just have to admire it on my hand.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here has purchased a lab pad from a company called geolite and, if so, were you happy with it? Also, can you share any photos?

I really hope this MD isn’t preying on our growing fears about Lyme disease to make a buck. That would be horrible for the patients who really do have the chronic form of Lyme and suffer immensely from it, as well as for the few brave doctors willing to treat chronic Lyme.

Wow! The allegations of fraud and malpractice against this doctor would be too disturbing for me to contribute to her defense, however nice that stone may be:

holy crap that is absurd! This patient NEVER HAD LYME DISEASE and but yet the doctor lied and told him he did. That is disgusting, and I hope the fraudulent doctor loses her license. IMHO this is not a "2 sides to every story" situation, as there are lab tests proving that the patient never had lyme or any other condition that the "doctor" diagnosed him with.

PS. her gofundme page is nonsense and doesnt even begin to touch on the actual allegations. She just makes a bunch of claims about how she is fighting the board due to treating "complex patients", which is quite clearly untrue.

I agree wholeheartedly! I was just trying not to be biased and start controversy. It’s pretty despicable if you ask me. Yet another reason why I don’t trust most doctors. They don’t call it “practicing medicine” for nothin’!

haha do trust doctors, but know that they are human and therefore fallible just like the rest of us. And some are corrupt and awful, like this one.
