Finally figured out the lab side stones for my opal doublets!!

Both will be 3 stone rings and will likely involve a halo because #haloallthethings is my bling mantra

Looking forward to seeing your gorgeous opals getting set! Though I have a sneaky suspicion you might wait to receive the belemnite first before shelling out money setting something else. :twisted2:

Correct!!!!!! I spent a bunch on the belemnite and think I might end up setting it first if I love it as much as I expect to.

I met a gem cutter through another person and I thought I would give his details in case people are ever looking for someone. This isn’t the correct thread since I am getting an aquamarine and not a lab gemstone cut but I know it is hard to find precision gem cutters. He will also cut or precision recut moissanites so I thought I would mention his name over here too. Once I receive the stone and setting I will add a thread under rocky talk. I am just venturing over into gemstones/lab stones as I feel I need a little more color in my life. I am hoping that $170 for a 9mm aquamarine in the below shape including the rough was a good price?

His name is Jim Buday and his email is [email protected].

$170 including the cutting and rough? I think it is a good price. But it also depends on the colour of the stone.

My flame fusion precision cut Ruby has arrived, and the colour is gorgeous!

By the time import duties and custom charges are added to the purchased price and shipping, it comes to nearly 200 GBP! :eek2:

I believe it is worth it, so I keep telling myself! :roll2::lol-2:

Gorgeous colour and great cutting! I think, how much would a comparable natural stone cost? In comparison £200 is a right bargain! Import duties always hurt though, I hate paying that extra 20% :cry2:

A natural of this size and quality is out of my reach for certain!

@elle_71125 Here are a couple outdoors. It's darker than I thought it would be, but it is truly exceptional!

It’s definitely a little darker than I thought too but it looks fantastic against your skin tone.
Any ideas on what you’ll do with it?

Hey ladies and gentleman! Was just wondering if the person who Scott cut that beautiful little OMC spinel for awhile back on his instagram was a PSer? If you are I would love to see some shots of it. I'm so tempted to have him cut me one between my birthday and christmas but I only saw the one picture he had of it.

Forgive my slight off topic-ness!
