Go to the Tiffany website, click on Simply Spectacular, and take a look at the green diamond (bottom left hand corner)

I also love the simple mounting.

Beautiful! A lovely green not found in irradiated stones.

Stunning! Oh wow.....I want it!

You guys aren't going to believe me when I say this but, my sister-in-law's irraditated green diamond IS similiar in color to that one. It's really lovely. (I haven't seen any irradiated stones as nice though, so maybe hers is something really special.) It'll ask if if I can take some pics.

It's .80 or so.

Scintillating...

That Tiffany stone looks like a 10 carat, is it?

And please tell us the carat weight of your sis'' irradiated green diamond too, Scintillating. Its cost must be pretty high, if it were also that size also.

Well you just have to get into a grad school whose "color" is green and you won''t be at a loss for what to ask the ''rents for

Not unless that's a small bracelet ...

It is 2.6 see here. Fancy green like that and 10 cts would have not made it on the website. I do not know if something like that even exists - there is none on public record (but few such gems rae anyway).

Baylors is!!! Now we just have to find something for Auburn....

Thanks for the helpful link, Valerie101. I was thinking of going into Spinel, but after looking at that Tiffany Diamond ring, I''m hooked on colored diamonds!

Know of any one carat fancy red diamond for sale?

Should the term fancy before a color strictly means there should be no visible brown (what about black?) with a 10x loupe? What about champagne and cognac color diamonds? Can they be called fancy?

I''d check with Sotheby and Christies if I were you. Here''s a few little colored baubles they''ve peddled in the past. I''m sure they can find you something to suit. Stones similar to these reds might please you but the prices are 1998 and would be higher now:

Fancy Purplish-Red, 0.41 carats, n/a, round, Christie''s, $229,268/carat, $94,000

Fancy Red, 1.92 carats, VS2, rectangular (radiant), Phillips, $781,250/carat, $1,500,000
