I have been looking at stones in the F and G range for a brilliant 1.5 - 1.75 carat stone that will be set in platinum, but I have found some GREAT values in the H color range. Will I notice any yellow in a GIA stone of this color mounted in platinum? I am very particular, and if I noticed any color, it would forever drive me crazy -- what do you think?

Funny thing I was debating the same thing earlier today. I was comparing an F SI1 and an H VS2.

I am looking a H VS2. Will the clarity help the diamond appear "colorless" P.S. it has Excellent Symmetry and Polish, and has a Table of 56% and a depth of 61.3%

I personally think "H" is a good color, and looks great in platinum. I've even seen some well cut "I" & "J"'s that looked great in platinum.

I have a 1.52 carat H VS1 diamond and it looks colorless in platinum.

My 3c is an "I" color set in platinum w/ two colorless baguettes on the side. I see no body color.

You shouldn't notice it in a well-cut stone, especially, but if you're the really sensitive type the only way to really tell if by comparing the colors side by side.
