Quick question! When comparing a D color to a G color on a white background, should I be able to clearly see the difference in color with my eyes?

same sized stone, same quality cut, side by side. Yes you should be able to see the difference. Somewhat. But, set in a ring not side by side and I bet you could nere tell the difference. If you took the "Pepsi" challenge with a half dozen stones, I would think most consumers would fail in trying to identify a g from a d.

Just my uneducated thoughts.

Face up it may be hard to tell, even on a white background. You should see a difference if the stones are face down, or if you look at the stones from the side.
