Hi, question from a newbie:
Im looking at buying an engagement ring for my partner. We are opening up a small business soon so Im trying to keep it affordable. Shes not real picky about diamonds, the style of ring is probably more of a concern but I know she will want a 1.0 ct diamond (or close to it) to show off.
I have a 1.007 ct ideal I SI2 (eye clean) diamond on hold at Whiteflash to go with a white gold tiffany setting (HCA 1.3):

The comments in the AGS Certificate says "the clarity grade of this diamond is based on clouds that are not shown". I understand that if the diamond is eye clean I shouldnt be able to see the clouds, but will this reduce the "sparkle?" at all? I cant even see the clouds on the close up image, yet I can clearly see imperfections on other higher graded clarity diamonds that Ive looked at.
Also, Ive read elsewhere that an AGS colour "I" may be closer to a GIA "J", so Im worried that the diamond may look more yellow that other GIA diamonds Ive viewed here in Australia. In this regard my other preferred diamond is the following 0.993 ct ideal H SI1 diamond (HCA 1.8 ):

The size difference wouldnt be notiecable, so I would be paying almost $700 more for one grade better colour and clarity.
Im very new to all this so sorry if these are dumb questions. Whichever diamond I go for I think it will be from Whiteflash as their service has been brilliant so far, even going to the trouble of calling me out of hours due to the time difference.
