Close up pic of lines I noticed in ruby - curved striations?

This is a ruby in an antique gold ring. I am wondering if these striations are those found in flame fusion rubies. To me they look too straight, but I have read that sometimes the curve can be very subtle!
I have drawn the lines to show the direction and pin point the area that seems to show in the photo.
Apologies for the bad photo, but this is the only one I had that showed them.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I'm no expert, but agree with @Tourmaline. The lines appear to be straight to me - I do not even see a subtle curve, though maybe other PSers will.

Thank you so much for your replies. I was undecided about taking to a gemologist because of the costs and travel involved (I'm in a rural area), but definitely will when lockdowns have lifted.

That looks to be scratch marks from the polish. Most native cut stones are polished with a coarse polish, so under magnification and to the trained naked you see these straight polish lines.

I'm with gene on this one. I call them polish tracks.
