I use a steam cleaner (Jewelry Jet) to clean the diamond, sometimes I use Dawn dish detergent, and rub it with soft brush, then clean everything off with the blast of the steam, when looking under a 10x loupe, I still see spots and stains.

Anybody have any tricks or what do you do to clean all grime and spots off? thanks.

Could be water marks rather than grime, you can try using a hairdryer to blast it or some have used canned air I haven''t tried it)- do you rinse it once you have used the Dawn or just give it a blast of steam to get that off?

What clarity is your diamond? Are you sure these aren''t inclusions you are seeing?

Are you sure they are not inclusions?

ditto Lorelei and SC,

otherwise, go to the jeweler and have it professionally cleaned then loupe it again and see if it is still there.

The diamond is an I/SI1 (AGS 000)

Maybe there are mineral deposits from the water.

Will try distilled water in the JJ

thanks to all

Any liquid used becomes contaminated by the gunk it removes.

Dry by spraying with a strong blast from a can of compressed air.
All the contaminated liquid is blown away.

I use lint free TP to dry my stones. Cottonelle works best. Try it, I swear it works best....

Update: I used distilled water in the JJ, and did come out a little cleaner.
thanks for the help.

warm water, dedicated toothbrush, soft cloth and high pressure air can.
