Cleaning platinum?

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering whether using the cleaners I have seen suggested on this forum is ok for platinum? Will it damage it in any way?

I am not a professional, just a consumer, but I have read from other advice given that chlorine in swimming pools can affect the alloys in white and yellow gold making ring prongs brittle but that platinum is not affected in this way. I would suppose from this that jewellery cleaners would not affect platinum therefore.
