Cleaning and repairs

Hello!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this topic.

I have a couple of retro pieces that I would like to have inspected and cleaned. They are both pretty fragile but as far as I know they don't need any major repairs, just more of a general inspection.

I have used David Klass for custom work, but I am wondering if it's over kill to send the pieces to them, and instead look to someone local for cleaning and repairs.

Have these pieces never been cleaned and checked? I would never risk mailing something like that for cleaning. A good, reputable jeweler in your area should be able to check the jewelry. He can clean it too and advise you how to do it as well.
