I recently bought a little vanadium chrysoberyl. I say little- she’s 1.6 cts. Anything much bigger that that can be pretty pricey and I didn’t wanna spend that kind of money having not seen one in person.
I love her. This one is a sea glass/ sea foam green.
I had no idea how to set something this size so she say in a box for a while.
I was perusing eBay (like I do ) and found a setting sold to fit a “1.5 ct round” I scoffed to myself and a lightbulb went off. It had returns so I gave it a go. The setting looks like it was *made* for this stone. It has antique stones a set of traps, marquise, and teeny tiny French cuts.
the fact all the stone sets are such a different shape you don’t really notice the cut on the chrysoberyl isn’t vintage. They all go together. She’s on the petite side- and I don’t have a lot of those so - a nice addition to my collection.
