Got these from Michael E Saturday. It''s 7.83mm x 5.97 and 4.75mm deep, and 1.66 carats. The zircons will be done later in the week!

It looks really pretty.... is it more greenish or yellowish?

I like the high crown, it''s going to be a sparkler!!! Please take more photos when you get it.

It''s beautiful! WOW! Your ring is going to be so awesome.

Thanks guys! I''m really looking forward to seeing it in person! Michael said he took about 100 pics of it and didn''t get a one that really looked like it. He said it''s a combination of the pics. I''ll for sure take lots of pics when I get the stones-but who knows what I''m going to end up w/if Michael''s didn''t match completely hahaha!

Lovely! I can''t wait to see the sidestones.

Omgggggggg that''s gonna be gorgeous!
As if I needed more convincing that Chrysoberyl is one of my new favs.

Did Michael talk at all about the cut? Would love know more about the high crown that TL mentioned and other dynamics.

The supernova is really something Barry does more than anyone else, yeah?

I actually prefer the greener color.

sweeeeeet!!!

beautiful pack!
This really is my fave cut for an oval gem.

Looks really beautiful!

I like the high crown

Look at that super high crown! I love those because it’s going to make the stone sparkle like crazy.

It looks so pretty! I <3 chrysoberyls.

Thanks everyone!

Velouria, there are a couple threads floating around about the supernova cut that have some great pics in them and good discussion about the cut!

I didn''t know that it would be more sparkly b/c of the high crown-how cool! Learned something new today!

My only concern was the greenish tint to it, b/c I wanted a yellow..but heck, maybe I''ll like it! Does anyone have any thoughts on the greenish tint? I''ve never seen one in person so I don''t know what to expect.

Personally, I prefer the more greenish ones for no other reason than I don’t like most yellow chrysoberyl.

A particular shade is just a personal preference, but of course you can influence it to some degree with the choice of metal closest to the stone.

FYI to everyone shopping for chrysoberyls.
I prefer greenish yellows, but regardless if it''s more green or more golden yellow, you probably don''t want it to have too much brown or grey as a modifier. Yellow is one hue that can either be too brown (if it''s on the golden side of yellow) or too grey (if it''s on the greenish side of yellow).

Thanks for the replies! It will have yg prongs and then the sides will have white, so maybe that will help the yellow. Regardless, it might be neat to have a stone that is different depending on the lighting. And the 3rd picture, that showed the green-was my favorite, go figure!

WOW that''s going to be really stunning. Please let us know what you think of it when you get it. chrysoberyl has been on my list for a while now. I''m interested to read what color you think it is when you get it. TFS

Oh good! Zircons are starting to interest me now too. So I look forward to your photos.

Just heard from Michael and should have some more pics tomorrow!

The zircons will be 6.7x5. He said they''ll look colorless but will have a slight touch of pink in very dim incandescent lighting. That shouldn''t hurt anything should it? It doesn''t sound very noticeable.

Yay! I can''t wait to see them!

The photos are lovely and the zircons sound like they''ll be gorgeous too!

Here they all are together! Michael said he manipulated the pictures to get the yellow right but that it still wasn''t totally..he said it''s like an almost ripe lemon.
