I've had this ring for a few weeks, both colors are tourmalines, custom made in two tone 18k gold...

I saw someone mentioned this Christmas idea which coincidentally was my intention while making this ring. So even though I don't have very good photos in hand, I am just sharing and hopefully helps to see what red and green looks together

Thanks, it's a rubellite tourmaline. Most of the time it's a purplish pink. But can looks really red in sunset.

thank you, it made me feel really Christmasy...

I love it!

it is so pretty!

Nice! They have a blue-ish tone that makes them go really well together. Neat ring!

Holy cripes!! That's gorgeous! :cheeky: :lickout:

Wow, that color combo is beautiful. Stunning ring!

Thanks to you all who like it, I do wish the center stone is a princess cut though, to match the side stones...But it is so hard, I only find one rubellite in princess cut and it is too large for the ring. So I decide to go with it and if in the future I met a princess rubellite, I will try to replace it with this current stone. For now I will just enjoy the color combo

I like it! Can I ask, who made the setting? It looks well made.

It's a HK jeweler, not here locally. The workmanship is very good, but not terrific IYKWIM, well, I didn't pay a lot of $$ for the setting so

A "strong" and unusual colour combo. I guess what allows it to work or not depends on the hue, tone and saturation. I'll post pictures of my red and green stones tomorrow. I did a poll and most PSers did not like it.

I love this! It'd be even more of a reason to look forward to the holidays, not that I wouldn't wear it year round.

Looks great! I'm sure you'll enjoy wearing it all year but none more so than at Christmas.
