Hey Guy
Diamonds are graded according to cut, color, clarity and carat. Of these, many people focus on clarity and carat weight, when choosing a diamond. However, the cut of a diamond is perhaps even more important. The facets are sloped around the gemstone to maximize the light entering the diamond, Step cuts are typically used to produce emerald and princess shape diamonds. Cut diamond are used to fashion intricate shapes into the diamond and to give an old world feel to fancy diamond shapes.
Thanks and Regards
