Choosing round diamond for halo ring from James Allen

Budget permitting I would go with in-house stones from BGD or WF.
When people on this forum deal with virtual stones, things can get screwy.
Best of luck.

I had a good experience dealing with James Allen before, and I've read plenty of other good experiences on here and elsewhere. If when we get the ring, the stone looks really awful, we can always get a refund for it or exchange it. I'm hopeful that won't be the case though and the ring will look beautiful!

While I'm not the biggest JA fan, I do think they offer a good bang for the buck. And I think they really hit a sweet spot with their settings. More to the point, I think your JA stone & setting will be beautiful. I'm excited for you, and can't wait to see pictures of it all together.

Let's hope there is no disappointment, but if so, return for a refund and we will help you select something new.

JA is an excellent vendor, no need to be concerned at all OP. My SIL also had a great experience with them. They are always prompt and have a large inventory. Not always stones need to be evaluated in person to ensure great performance. In this case, the stone is clearly beautiful and it is guaranteed to perform well. I hope that you & your wife like the flouro, but if not, you can always exchange the stone.

Good morning!

Yesterday the replacement diamond ring several of you helped me pick out came. My wife didn't know what the diamond was going to look like at all and I didn't even tell her when it was coming. I just said "It should be coming soon." But yesterday when she got home from work, when she went to reach for ice cream in the freezer, this is what she found:

She was very excited and surprised! She loves it and I think the diamond looks really nice. The "strong blue florescence" is not noticeable at all like I feared. I can't tell it has it and I haven't bothered to put it in a UV light to test it yet. Here's a couple more pics. How does it look?

I'll post more once she gets the wedding band back on it too because I think the wedding band compliments the ring very nicely too! Thanks for all your help!
