Choosing between two round diamonds

Hi all!

I am close to purchasing an engagement ring and I think I've narrowed it down to the following two round stones. I am trying to decide which one would be the more attractive and radiant looking diamond using metrics from the certificate, as I unfortunately won't be able to see it before it arrives. Both diamonds have no cutlet, no florescence, and excellent polish and symmetry. They are virtually identically priced. Here are the key metrics for each diamond:

Round Diamond 1:
Carat weight: 1.66
Color: E
Clarity: VS1
Depth: 62.0%
Table: 56.0%
Crown: 35.5%
Pavillion: 40.6%
Measurements: 7.58 x 7.61 x 4.71
HCA: 1.3

Round Diamond 2:
Carat weight: 1.65
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Depth: 60.6%
Table: 58.0%
Crown: 34.5%
Pavillion: 40.6%
Measurements: 7.62 x 7.65 x 4.63
HCA: 0.8

Thanks!

#1 for me.

If these are the ONLY two options #1

Thanks for the feedback! There are many other options to choose from, but these ones seemed to be well cut. Are you seeing anything concerning that should drive me to find better options?

The dimensions of the second diamond are actually 7.65 x 7.62 x 4.63.

Should I be concerned about anything with the first diamond?

Are they graded by GIA or AGS?

They are both GIA graded.

Well, TBH, difficult to tell w/ just numbers.
They don't have any pictures, light performance images, inclusion plot, anything?

No, unfortunately not. I looked at Whiteflash and James Allen but didn't see anything that looked this attractive (on paper, of course).

Are you trying to stay at D/E color for some reason? I just looked on WF quickly and found several showstopper F's. A D/E is gorgeous (I have a D) but honestly unless they are side by side you won't be able to see the difference between a D and an F.

There is almost nothing to worry about with VS clarities - vary rarely a VS2, and nearly never with VS1 or higher.

If I were you I'd look for the biggest F VS2/SI1 I could find.

I was also curious about your colour and clarity preferences. I did a quick search on WF and came across the same diamond as ecf8503. I'm no expert but have read that the quality of WF ACA diamonds is wonderful! WF also provides ASETs and other images on their website, in addition to the diamond's measurements.

There are lots of knowledgeable and experienced PSers. I'm sure they'll be able to help you find exactly what you're looking for in a diamond. Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestions, all! I would prefer to stick with E and F for color and VS1 for clarity.

Thanks again! I have narrowed it down to 4 diamonds:

#1 - Blue Nile 1.66

#2 - Blue Nile 1.65

#3 - James Allen 1.66

#4 - Whiteflash 1.71

The JA one might be a bit out of my range, though. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Am I missing any negatives with any of the four diamonds above?

Thanks again!

Love the WF stone! You know exactly what you are getting with all the light performance tests (a firecracker!) with no guesswork as with the BN. It's gorgeous - go reserve it now before someone snipes it out from under you.
