Difference in price is less than 100 bucks.
Does this look like the slam dunk decision I think it is?

the F is an EGL, right? (And there is a tiny price break in the EGLs I believe) I'd love to know the crown info on the 1st...The second stone sounds a bit flat....But on the other hand, I prefer to stay above an H. You really need more info on #1!

And there really is no way to tell which is prettier until you see them in person!

Both are GIA's.

From the numbers alone, the F one looks better to me... it'll face up bigger than the other since it's less deep; I like that it's *very* square & that the symmetry is Ex.

Have you seen the stone? That's the best way to choose...

The only thing that neurotic me would check on is the thin girdle - maybe ask where it's thin (thin corners make me nervous)...

Best of luck to you!

I think I agree! It sounds like it could be quite lovely!

The first one looks like a decent stone, but the second one looks excellent going just by the numbers. I don't think you'd see any difference between VS1 and VS2, but there's a good chance you'd be able to see the difference between an F and an H color in a princess cut. As Alexah pointed out, the second stone is very square, which is usally very desirable in a princess. To top it off, the second stone is a very solid 1A cut according to the AGA cut grading system. If it were me, I would pay to have the second stone sent to a trusted independent appraiser, and if it's optical performance lived up to what the numbers suggest, I'd go with that one. Best of luck

Thanks folks.

I think I'm going to go with the second one as well. Buying it sight unseen, but with a return policy.

Teh F 'sounds' very nice. Hope the promisse will materialize when you receive the stone. Das that Ideal Scope sound tempting
