Choosing a stone for my E-Ring

Hello everyone

Both of us know nothing about diamonds and gemstones so we are turning to this wonderful and resourceful forum for help!

I do know that I want at least 1 carat- ring size 6.5 (starting to understand clarity,and colour now but still so lost ) so if anyone could advise what sorta colour/clarity I should get to maximise our budget please.

We looked at james allen,white flash and blue nile and it seems that only blue nile has the setting i like so far .

My OH will be travelling to Hong Kong for a few days in late August so he was also considering blue nile so we dont have to pay taxes and custom fees compared to getting them shipped to Hong Kong.

Color can depend on sensitivity. H is fairly safe but you can probably go to an I. Clarity wise an eye clean SI1 should suffice but you can stick with a VS1 or even VS2 and not have to worry. It depends on how ideal of a cut you want but 8-10k will net you a 1ct G VS1 or VS2.
