Choosing a diamond for her

I''ve decided to begin the search for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I''ve read around a little bit on this site first, so I''m not *entirely* clueless. Anyway, I''ve found a diamond that I think I''m satisfied with and is within my price range. It is a Brian Gavin diamond and here are the stats on it:

I was wondering if this was a good price, if anything sticks out that would discourage someone to buy this diamond, and any information on what I should be looking for in regards to finding a better diamond! Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me out!

Looking at settings now...

She has really really slender fingers... is that going to play into what settings she will be able to get? Or will some look silly or something?

Also, thinking of maybe choosing our wedding bands at the same time. For the actual process of saying "I am ready to purchase," should I try to try to ask for a discount or talk down prices at all? I don''t want to sound rude, but I would like to get the best possible deal that I can get, too!
