Correct me if I am wrong but choosing a princess cut diamond VVS2, E, having a chip in the comments raises concern with me. The girdle is VERY THIN. If this has already occurred in a new diamond, god bless the life span. A vendor stated that it could only be seen in 10X magnification. I am still very hesistant. Should I be?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes You should be,...
Very thin girdle does chip easily,... This does not mean the diamond will split in half, but chips do reflect on the value of the diamond and are costly to remove . Plus I can guess the make of the diamond is not the most desirable
