Check out this Marquise for me please!

Hey everyone! I have learned so much here and now need some help looking at this diamond. I need some opinions now that I have the pics!! Marquise are a tough thing to find when you get specific with your wants. I will attach the other pics in the following posts. The only thing I am hesitant on is the GD polish (I would have liked a VG)

Hi Bal

Its a nice marquise, looks to be a very attractive diamond and it is well shaped for a marquise. The crown height is excellent which is good to know. As to good polish, the naked untrained eye cannot normally distinguish between good and above so unless you absolutely have to have VG I wouldn't let that put you off.

I would ask to speak to Bob at WF and get his opinion on this marquise if it is what you are looking for. Also ask to what extent this diamond shows a bow tie, you can't always get away with them entirely but they can be minimized in some diamonds, from what I can see it doesn't look as if this marquise will show much of a bow tie but discuss this with Bob to be sure.

Thanks for the information! As a matter of fact Bob is the one who got the diamond in house for me! Whiteflash does not keep marquise in house very often so he had to do some hunting! They took the pics themselves and he thought it was a very attractive diamond. I am glad to hear the polish is not as significant as I was thinking.

Bob has been really great to work with and they are helping me with a custom setting as well. I will make sure to come back and post once I get the ring!

Ok sounds like you have everything covered - well done!!! You should be fine with the polish, just mention it to Bob if you are concerned but I am sure it won''t be a problem.
