well, I am on the hunt for wedding bands. you can find pictures of the ring I bought my fiance at this link HER RING
Now, in the future we are hoping to switch to a shank with more diamonds on it, and hopefully something more elegant all around (at leat I am hoping to one day anyway) it would probably be a fairly think classic diamond prong set ring. Anyway, for now, and for several years to come at least this will be her ring, but one thing I would hope not to change in the future would be our wedding bands.
I have taken her aroudn recently to look at some and the one that she has liked the most so far is the first ring below. I have loooked at a pretty large selection of rings myself at this point, and worked in a jewelery store, and this ring is slightly different than the others I have seen. I cant quite place it, but it is something about how the pronts are set flush with the primary shank portion of the ring, and something else...you might not be able to tell from this picture, but the ring from debeers is about twice what I was wanting to spend on her ring, and that was pushing it to begin with...so...if you have any suggestions on what might be making this ring different from others that are similar, or know of somewhere I should look to find something that might have those subtle differences for less, please let me know.
Also, if we did decide to get it, can someone please direct me to some information on Debeers cut information. They seem to think they are above providing such data.
The second set is following a japanese tradition of having matching wedding bands. They are Chanel platinum bands and hers would be thinnner with three very small diamonds in them. As far as I can tell they are only available in Japan (at the very least I cant find them on any of the English Chanel sites, but they can be found in the Japanese chanel store and on the japanese chanel site).
Let me know what you think about these chanel bands, how you feel they would match with her current ring and with the future ring I have aspirations of getting her one day (additional diamonds in her solitaire).
