Center stone size question

A few days ago I posted asking an opinion about getting a Tacori ring. I finally decided to go ahead and get it. Here is the link again.

The center stone I am getting is about 8 x 6 mm and the two side stones are about 5 x 3 mm. The final purchase has not been made so I have one final question: I want my center stone to be big but not ostentatious. My ring size is a 6--do you think that an 8 x 6 center stone will be big enough on my finger size to "catch the eye" but not too big to be ostentatious? Thanks for your help.

I think it is all a matter of personal preference...

My fiance has a one carat round brilliant and because of the cut, it in itself draws attention.

The setting you are getting is no doubt beautiful and I don't think the stone in question would look too ostentacious at all.
The setting itself will no doubt draw attention along with your accent stones. I think if its a perfect combo for you, Go For IT, your going to be the one wearing it....

I LOVE Ticori rings...especially their serendipity and mermaid collections. They are georgeous, and you picked one of my favorites. I am leaning towards and emerald which I think would be perfect. Is that what you were deciding? Great choice!!!!
