Hi- so thru the help of the forum I think I''ve settled on a jeweler and we''re making slow progress.
I''ve picked this setting so far

2716-17.jpg

But, we''re going to do pink side stones (having trouble with the picture)
Anyway I really want the sidestones to stand out, I like the idea of a asscher, my jeweler mentioned a cushion...
I originally thought maybe a marquise, but when I tried them on I don''t like how they don''t always sit straight on the finger.
So the side stones are 27 pts (together) and we''re thinking .75 carat center.
Any opinions/advice appreciated.

I love love love Asschers, but I think the straight edges and corners look harsh when set next to a bunch of small round stones. For the setting you''ve chosen, I think a cushion would be absolutely beautiful (maybe with double claw prongs)?

I own a marquise and I really don''t like it set next to all round diamonds. I''m am in the process of having it reset (and getting a RB to boot lol) and my new setting has a RB and baguette on each side. Marquise diamonds are hard to set and don''t look great with everything. While I love the one I have, I wouldn''t make that same decision all over again. They are in the way and get caught up on things easily so unless you love them I''d think twice. Funny...I''ve never noticed a problem with mine sitting straight on my finger...I''ll have to look more carefully though.
I think the cushion would look great in that setting. It would really stand out. Ofcourse I love the RB and am partial to that lol. I think an asscher just would look very busy in that setting...just my opinion though as I''m not an asscher lover anyway so although they are beautiful they just aren''t my taste. I love the idea of pink side stones as well.
I can''t wait to see what you decide on. Make sure you come back with pictures! Good luck.
