There''s been a lot of talk around here about celebrities overdoing plastic surgery. (I think they spend as much on that as they do on bling! Some of them look like they''ve been laminated in plastic...

I was going to look for a picture of Joan Rivers, but then decided to start this thread on a positive note.

Here are my nominations for the "AWHOF" (Aging Well Hall of Fame):

First, of course...Diane Keaton:

....and I think Sally Field looks great:

...and finally my personal favorite: Julie Christie. (I think she was lovely in "Finding Neverland".)

Any thoughts?

I think Catherine Denueve just gets more beautiful and doesn''t seem to be succumbing to the knife at all:

I adore Catherine Denuvue and I love a quote she said about ageing. "There comes a time in every woman''s life when she must chose between her face and her arse."In other words dieting to have a youthful body can make you look like crap

She chose to look good in the face rather than the stick thin body that can make one look at wee bit haggard.

I agree about the haggard look with being thin! I think those women who keep their weight drastically down look worn out.

OMG....how could I forget Sophia Loren????!!!

I''m utterly astonished at how good she looks...I think better than when she was young.

BTW...has anyone seen a picture of Judi Dench as a young woman? I''ve been curious to know what she looked like ''way back when''...

Diane Sawyer, Oprah, and Kim Basinger

I just spent a few minutes looking but I could not find a good one........she certainly did her share of acting in her youth too, but seems to have come to fame in the last decade or two.

eta: good for you poptart!!!

Here''s a better/bigger picture (I hope) of when she was younger. Sorry the other one was so small.

Jaclyn Smith still looking good

Jane Fonda looked awesome in Monster in Law and despite her old persona in politics I like her...

THANK YOU POPTART!!!

I''ve really come to admire JD...but had never seen her young. As I had guessed, she was a beauty.

Hmmm Jaclyn Smith was never one of my favs...I always thought she looked sort of plastic, even before she needed any ''freshening up''...

Looks to me like Judi Dench has even gotten better with age.

I looked at some of Jaclyn''s earlier pictures
and it does kinda appear there might have been a little
Botox or something. But if (and I say if) she had
anything done, it was subtle.

She must be early 60''s.

I''ve always liked her...until she ''sold out'' and married Ted Turner..LOL

I have a step-niece who worked for them in Atlanta years ago. She said that JF looked awful...drawn, super skinny, over face-lifted, etc. Everyone thinks she looks much better now...softened up a bit...since the divorce.
