In line with the Grad rings thread, thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can share bling for milestones.

I thought I might share: here is my RHR that I purchased for myself as a congratulations for graduation and gaining full time employment!

4.09ct centre stone - cushion Aquamarine with 14k white gold and diamond pave band.
Finger size: 5 1/4

Beautiful ring. It has great presence and will always have great sentimental value as you purchased it to mark and remember a milestone in your life. Congratulations on your graduation and employment!! :appl: :appl:

Thanks so much :)

Yes, it was long degree 6 years and to finally finish was a fantastic achievement. This ring definitely symbolises the milestone.

Pretty, pretty. So much better than a traditional class ring.

Wow! Gorgeous ring! Congratulations! :appl:

Ditto! More pics please... I bought myself a celebratory bling piece as well, and nice I'm back on my laptop I'll post some pics. What was the celebration? Surviving a full school year with working 6 to 8 hours if overtime after school. Lol. I wanted to take a little bit if that money and treat myself... Pics to come

Sounds like a perfect excuse Amy!

When I get home i'll use my canon to take some more that was only from my iphone!

In Australia we don't do class rings (I don't think) so this was a nice way to celebrate :)

I love the ring. How beautiful and the aqua is the perfect color!

Great idea for a thread, mif - and GORGEOUS ring! Congrats!

I had been eyeing off this pendant for months (.25ct RB surrounded by .25ct halo), as I was preparing to apply for a specialist training year in my chosen field of nursing (operating theatre). 30ish people applied and there was only one position available, so I told myself I would buy the necklace if I received the offer, which I honestly didn't think I would. Well I was wrong! I was offered the position, gladly took it, and that pendant and a new chain came home to mamma

That was 8 years ago, and I still love love love it!

Gorgeous pendant. So classic :)

My "I worked so much overtime last year, I need some sparkle" necklace!

It's approx. .46 H VS2 OEC in a whitegold bezel on a 16 in chain

Thanks mif! :wavey:

Amy, I love that rationale! I've got some 'overtime' diamond studs on their way to me, actually... well that's my excuse now, anyways, thanks to you!

Ladies these are very lovely pieces!!! Congratulations to all for their achievements that became the reason for the purchase of those beauties :appl:
Well, my celebratory bling is not as sparkly as the previously posted :) In March 2010, just a few weeks before my wedding, i completed my PhD after years of hard work...This plain Tiffany ring was bought to remind me that hard work pays back!!!

Oooh, gorgeous naty!! :appl: A very beautiful and much deserved reward!

I love this thread--everybody's celebratory bling is beautiful! I really love that you ladies set a goal for yourself and got yourself a little reward when achieving it! I'm a big fan of buying jewelry for yourself and that fact that you can attach that jewelry to a long-awaited goal is even better!
