I've slowly started planning my reset, and I'm pretty sure I want a cathedral setting vs what I currently have (the standard Stuller 6 prong with a thin shank). However, I noticed that there were two kinds of cathedral shoulders, and I was wondering if it was just aesthetic or there was any difference in wear - is one more comfortable than the other? Does any option spin less? Do they look similar face up?
Here's the difference I'm talking about:

One option seems to follow the line and curve of the shank, while the other curves the other way. Convex and concave?
