The cateye cherysoberyl I got from the latest gemtrader drop arrived today. I was on my way out with the dog and threw the package in my bag. when we got comfortable on the bench in front of our local coffee spot I opened it. Out there in the sun it is bright yellow with a strong, sharp and mobile eye! A cloud came by and the eye disappeared but the color stayed fine. It has a clarity far more amazing than Brad had said; I could read a very small newspaper through it! Check the pic of it sitting on a barcode!

The transparency of your chrysoberyl is amazing! I can also spot the eye and milk/honey in a smaller picture or two in your collage too. Such a beautiful cat’s eye!

That's stunning VL! I never thought a cats eye would be sooooooo clear! :appl:

I really like it. :-)

Very nice. It's always a delight when a stone looks better than you thought it would. :))

I am so loving this stone. some more pics showing the eye better.

That is really cool, VL! I love how it's so clear, and still you can see the eye. That is really unique!

Gorgeous color!

I always wanted a nice chrysoberyl cat's eye (can you believe I don't have one!! ). Yours is so transulcent too. Very nice!!

Congratulations! I think some of them are very pricey.

Yikes, VL has 3 fingers with THREE chrysoberyls!

Some of the cabs being posted lately are a w e s o m e. Better than candy! Very Very cool Vapid I'm stoked about your gnarly cab, Bra.

That pic was slightly disturbing for a moment! Nice cat's eye chryso VL! :appl:

More pics. I must really like this one! outside in sun cellphone was all I had so theyre lousy photos but show they eye well. Chrono, i fI had had more time I was going to photoshop that picture so the two extra fingers would look more like a seven fingered hand. Glad it amused you despite being poorly articulated.

Cat’s eyes are SO fun to play with and I’m just amazed with the transparency of yours. Roll, eye, roll! Open and close, eye, Open and close!

Okay, VL, I have to ask - do you have a license to operate that pug while being stoned? Your "cat with dog" shot makes me suck in my breath. Your hand is open, holding your beautiful stone - far, far off the ground - with a dog leash wrapped around your finger...this is the equivalent for us stone lovers of balancing on the roof edge of a building far off the ground. What if a treat/squirrel/fierce leaf/family friend had come along?!! :errrr: C'mon, man, think!! If I have to, I'll report you to the GPS (Gemstone Protective Services), even if it means that I, ever selfless :saint: , are forced to foster that cat...

err, I mean am forced...sorry for the bad grammar, but you can see just how upsetting this is... :o

Great photos, I agree lots of gorgeous cabs posted lately, can't wait to see how you decide to set this beautiful gem.

Minous, I am licensed to own and operate that pug. I admit the photo appears incriminating, but 9 year old pugs are not accelerated by much other than an unescorted meatloaf sandwich, and since monday is meatloaf day in soho, I was reasonably confident with today being friday that the day would pass without incident. Also having the leash draped over an open finger, as it was, both complies with the leash laws and allows the pug to accelerate like a particle at CERN if perhaps a parallel meatloaf from a parallel universe were to suddenly drop onto the middle of thompson street, without challenging my balance or endangering the cat. It is especially touching this time of year to hear that you are so giving of yourself that you would foster my cat had we had a brush with the anarchy of the street. There are too many feral cats! Really I have two cats in the yard, since I was the lucky one to have gotten the cateye yellow danburite from the same gemtrader just a few months ago.

VL - I am greatly relieved. Here's to many more free range meatloaves in your future.

Oh, and very, very nice stone
