Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, and I searched for this, but didn't see anything similar.
Someone gave me this bracelet about twenty years ago. I think it's called a seven-day bracelet. It has seven sections, each one with a carved scene from classical mythology. The metal has a darker coppery 1585840143943365573593.jpg 1585840217228375547771.jpg patina. I'm trying to read the marks but they are tiny! Is there a trick to reading them?
If anyone can shed any light on this bracelet I'd appreciate it! I don't expect it's especially valuable but I'm just curious. I've attached two photos of the front and one of the back. 15858402494101394969158.jpg

Welcome to the forum :)

That looks like an interesting piece.

If the markings are difficult to read, it might be possible to lay some paper over them and rub a pencil across it, which might pick out the details.

Lovely! And fascinating!

have you tried cleaning it gently with a silver polishing cloth? The tongue part of the clasp looks like it might be silver. (I highly recommend against anything that involves immersion cleaning, however, whether it’s a tin foil or chemical method. You’d lose lovely patina, and it could harm any glue that might have bern used in the setting.)
