Cartier ring size conversion?

I just won an auction for a vintage Cartier tri-color rolling ring with the accompanying authentication. I''m trying to get a good fix on the size. The documentation and ring state size 57 and the seller says it is a 9. I''ve looked without any luck for a sizing conversion chart that equates Cartier sizing with American sizing. Can anyone help me?

a 57 is below an US size 8, BTW, and you probably know that rolling rings "fit" differently from ordinary ones

That actually works out perfectly! I was going by the documentation and inscription size but just wanted to confirm. I''ve tried on the rings at the Cartier store and 57 was what worked best. The sellers decription as size 9 kind of stunned me. She said that is what her local jeweler told her. Either way I have a money back option. Thanks for your help. I''ll post pics when it arrives!
