I just fainted!

Thank you so much for sharing all of these photos with us! It must have been incredible to see them in person!

Wow - gorgeous indeed! Thanks so much for taking and sharing these!!

i recognise the pineflower tiara given to the Queen mum by her husband King George vi now in the collection of Princess Anne and also the Cartier Indian tiara from the Duchess of Gloucester
and the ruby diamond one with the swirls that was Princess Grace's and can be worn as brooches
but i just love that simple aigrette with the feather, that would be perfect for me as a young untitled lady should the king (or the British govt) care to invite me to a state banquet

i also love athat tuti fruiti bandau

Top right
i am so happy that this citrene tiara is still inexistance
i saw a article of it (in a horrible article called world's uglist tiaras) and i was afraid it may have been taken apart for parts
if i was a modern Princess i'd be asking my dad or my husband to buy me that one
i beleave it has never been worn (do you remember much of what the exibition card said?) but was made with the 1937 corronation in mind @cnkav

i am so glad you got to see this
its wonderful its all on public display and very genrouse of the owners to lend out the ones that do not belong to Cartier

is that the peacock brooch that was the Duchess of Windsors ?
i wish i had a much better memory

OMG. The world just got bigger. Thank you!

What a wonderful post -- thank you for sharing your photos of these amazing jewelry masterpieces -- such a joy to see them all! I hope you had a fabulous time walking through!

Wow!!! Thank you for posting all of these amazing pictures. Makes me feel like I went to the exhibit lol, such gorgeous eye candy.

@cnkav I went to this on Tuesday! You have some great pictures. Thank you for posting them (I still need to sort through the ~150 photos and videos I took at the exhibition).
What was your favourite? I think the tiara room was mine - they displayed them in columnar displays which meant you got a great 3d view of the sparkly fronts but also the craftsmanship behind them.

Ugh, those tiaras!!!! :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2:

Thank you for sharing so many wonderful pictures!

Thank you for sharing!!! I could have been happily lost in that exhibit for hours.

Such history, what immense talent.
What I’m still in awe of, is all those gems came from this amazing planet. Does anyone else wonder if we’ve just scratched the surface, what other incredible undiscovered gems there must be?!?

How amazing to have been so close to these pieces, I bet you had goosebumps!

Great memory. I did not take the picture of the notes as it was extremely crowded. Though I remembered it was made in the early 20s-30s when Cartier decided to use semi precious stones to make larger/ prominent pieces. Stones were usually provided by those who commissioned Cartier to make

Mine was as well. I miss posting one tiara. Here it is. I really like how it was organized. I was second person in line to enter and it was absolutely busy. IMG_2434.jpeg

Thanks for the photos and I look forward to my visit in September 2025, can't wait!

Been to their exhibition in Paris some years ago and it was definitely worth the trip.
