Now that i finally have my ring, how do I go about caring for it? What I would most like to know is how often to I go in to have the jewelry checked, what signs do I look for of wear, can I clean it safely at home, and is the 18 kt gold softer and thus, more likely to lose stones?

I''m so happy to have the ring, but now I''m stressing about how to care for it properly. The center diamond is prong-set and the other diamonds are "bead set" so I''m wondering if that means anything special in terms of care.

Thanks for any and all advice!

Insure it, have it checked every 6 months by a trusted jeweler, and then wear it whenever you want! Enjoy it! It is pave, you will lose diamonds occassionally, but it is an inexpensive fix (~$40 or even free depending on the vendor).

I soak it in water mixed with dish washing product and ammonia, after that I brush it and rinse it. Don''t breath! :)
