Hi all...
I understand that carat weight causes the price of a stone to increase geometrically, that is, all other things being equal, a 1.0 carat stone could be three times the price of a 0.5 carat stone, not double.
Is there any general rule or formula for how carat weight affects the price per carat? (I was a math major so I am always searching for some kind of equation.
