Now I am in a dilemma, I can't decide which stone size to choose. I have tried on the .75 , .8 and 1ct stone at my local B&M, hubby prefers the .75 or the .8 ct on my skinny fingers, but for me being a girl and this will probably be my 1st and last upgrade, I would prefer the bigger .9 or 1 ct stone. My other concern is as none of my co-workers are wearing such rings, will I be seen as one being a "show off" at my work place? :knockout: Also what is the name of this ring setting?

Get the biggest size stone that YOU feel comfortable with. If you can afford it, buy the bigger stone. The difference is pretty small and woman get used to the size pretty quickly.

I would go for the 1 carat stone... tell your DH that it's like a plasma TV. :naughty: You think it's too big when you get it but then a month later, you can't imagine going smaller. All are amazing options and you are very lucky to be able to choose! But I don't think you will regret going for the .9 or 1 carat!

 Perfect, just perfect!

Honey, would you like the 42" plasma or the 60" plasma? I think the 42" looks just fine....

If you guys can afford the larger one (and the cut, color, clarity, etc. are what you want), get it! We at PS have a term for what happens to diamonds a few months after you start wearing them: Diamond Shrinkage Syndrome. Before long, the stone won't seem so big on your finger, and you might even find yourself wishing you got something larger in the first place.

Also, I don't think anyone will consider having a 1ct stone as being a show-off. It's a nice size but not at all ostentatious. And the difference between 0.75 and 1ct isn't enough to say one is show-offy and the other isn't, anyway!

The setting is a 6-prong Tiffany-style setting or Tiffany replica. Many jewelers carry a similar design.

Now now, thats not fair, :cheeky: if you put a 2x powered loupe it would make a .75 look like a 1.5!!! ;))

thats a good way to look at it, but I mean come on!, go for LED or 3D TV!!! :naughty:
