I got another marquise diamond, and am completely indecisive about what I want.

I originally wanted to set it with 2 pear sapphire sides, with pave shank, but then i saw this:

which do you guys prefer? I like them both!

Cool!

Do these marquises match ? I am seeing two marq rings stacked on the same finger

with perhaps a third one carrying a sapphire between the two.

Lol.. I don''t think i can pull that look off....

I hate being so indecisive. The new stone''s .54, so i thought a 3 stone would look good. And I''ve been wanting a ring with sapphire sidestones, too. But this look is so dainty and pretty!

like this, but with diamond center & blue pear sides instead:

duh.. i found this... Just add pave to the shank...

That''s a tough choice...love them both....what size stone do you think the first one is in the pic??? I''ve never seen one like that, but loke it....but the last one looks gret, too!!

I like it with the sapphire pears. It''s a nice look.

I think that first one''s about a carat? my other marquise looks about the same as that one.

it''s probably just the picture, but I think the sapphire side stones makes that particular ring''s diamond look washed out. I think the sapphire center stone one looks better.

What did you ever do about your emerald transition to oval AND also your butterfly necklace? lol I don''t know how you keep all these stones/pieces straight. . .excellent multi tasking skills???

(oh, and I do like the first ring you posted, but still, find a similar ring to try on first!!!)

I vote for the ring with the sapphire sidestones. I think it has more impact, and love the look!!!

*sigh*

I returned the emerald cut because it just wasn''t doing it for me, so I started looking at ovals... then lost interest in it. I still like squared and elongated pointy shapes more. So, I started looking at pears, but couldn''t find any that i liked enough, and lost interest in that too. What can i say, i lose interest in things way too fast.

So i got into a pendant idea, and found the perfect pendant, but it''s located in N. Cali and the S. Cali store refused to order it for me. The jerk I spoke to on the phone was sooo rude! And when I called the N. Cali store to have it sent down, they said it was sold out! After that, i just got over my pendant phase. *sigh*

Then out of the blue, i stopped at my jeweler to get a prong tightened, and found him in negotiations with another client of his. She was trading in a stone for her new one, and after she left, he offered that stone for me for really cheap! So i bought it.

.54 G, VS2 for $550!! Now i''m on a brand new adventure!!!

Sounds like a fun adventure! lol

Sorry your other ideas haven''t panned out. I lose interest in things too fast as well and this is one of the main reasons I haven''t purchased anything significant as I''m trying to be good about wearing what I already have. . .my husband is less likely to be supportive if I buy a necklace and wear it 10 times and then grow bored of it, so I need to be sure to wear what I have at least 100 times so he thinks he''s getting his money''s worth

Oh, and i do have one more project in the works. hehehe...

I bought a tanzanite oval interlap, and it looked so amazing that i''m going to duplicate my real tanzanite ring and actually wear it out! It''s 9 x 7 and identical to the one i have.. actually, it might look a little bit better... it sparkles a bit more, and the color''s more intense. The real one just sits there because i''m so afraid of nicking it. Sad that the cz is probably more durable than the real thing!

since you already have one marquis, how about setting this one east-west a la Zeta-Jones? Just a thought

(Oh, and I love option #1 above!)

I''m not too fond of east-west styles... my fingers are pretty long and they leave too much space. It''s not very flattering. I really like #1, but i''m afraid it''ll look too much like the one i have already.

How would it look as a pendant?

I like the pear shaped sides!

#1 is very nice

, and i don't think it will look too much like the one you have already. well, other than it's a marquise!

Fortekitty, I see what you mean--I have short fingers, so I''m drawn to other looks b/c of that.

Hmmm--a pendent would be awesome!

Bah! Still indecisive!! I have not done a single thing at work today, except print different ring styles, shrink them, cut em out, and sticking them on my finger. My boss is gonna kill me when i can''t hand in my report this week. I need a few more diamonds so i wouldn''t have to choose!!!

I could pee my pants. Seriously. That is so funny!!! I never even thought of shrinking ring pics down, cutting them out, and sticking them on my finger. ROFL!!! What a great idea!!!!!!!! The mental image...kills me!!!

I think the marquise with side pear sapphires would look good with pave. I

What can I say, i''m creative.

I''d obviously have to go for the pear sapphires
face1.gif

I like the first one with the tiny side diamonds.
1.gif

Now why would I have guessed that Jenn?
2.gif
BTW Fortekitty, me too.

FK, since you already have a beautiful marquise wedding set, I''d go with the pear sapphires, but ones cut by Richard Homer.
Now that would be stunning. Wink of Winfield''s can get them for you.

as much as i normally like that first style with melee, i really like the 2nd better with a marquis...the pears are more flattering IMO to the strong shape of the marquis. i actually really love that picture of the sapphire flanked by diamonds in terms of ratio and ''fatness''..hehehe.

How about a pendant ? It will match your existing ring...

and could look something like this
