So many pictures, hard to respond to each. I liked the eye candy, but inwardly roll my eyes at the distasteful trend of having jewels go all the way down your cleavage. Imo the pendants should only go as low as the top of the cleavage or else men will have trouble NOT sexualising the wearer. If that's what they want, then mission accomplished. But if not, then they're stupid.

Julianne Moore really looks great in green and emeralds. I remember when she wore Liz Taylor’s iconic Bulgari necklace. It’s odd though to see it on someone else besides Liz though.

I remember and those emeralds on the necklace look like glass! The pendant one looks as if it's slightly darker?

Christopher Smith of AGL wrote up a summary for those emeralds, and the one in the ring, bracelet and earrings. He rarely does this, but he said they were exceptional, or something akin to that. I have the auction catalog somewhere, have to find the exact verbiage. The pendant contains an exceptional emerald, from Muzo, and comes off the necklace as a broach.

I remember Jessica Chastain wore Liz’s Bulgari sugarloaf Sapphire necklace to one of these awards or a premiere (I forget which one). I’m happy Bulgari bought back these pieces for their permanent collection so we can still see them from time to time. I’m upset that a mysterious anonymous buyer got the Le Peregrina pearl. We’re probably not going to see that immensely important historical gem for a very long time. It belongs in a museum.

A model...I suspect that it took FOREVER to match the ombre colors.

JAR is famous for his color gradients in a single piece, and micropave, as well as the three dimensional design that mimics nature so well.

I suspect those are JAR, someone prove me right, or wrong!!

It’s really sad I have no idea who these women are, but they’re gorgeous!! The jewels just enhance their beauty.

Thanks for sharing.
They confirm one of my dislikes: either statement earrings or necklace/pendant, however not both.
DK :))

I don't mind seeing statement everything, but I think some of these ladies need to be more creative with color. Adriana Lima and Marion Cotillard are matching their earrings to their dress color EXACTLY, and their jewels just don't pop. Why wear something so expensive that just looks like it could be more fabric or even plastic costume jewels for all that it doesn't stand out? I would've gone for red earrings for Adriana and green ones for Marion in the right shade.

The one wearing the green dangle in the back has the right idea imo :P2. That color looks tdf gorgeous against her skin tone!!

@voce their stylists/fashion advisers/whatever they are called probably were not as adventurous as some of us who frequent the CS section of PS with colours!

DK :))

I can't help but feel that some of these ladies are being overshadowed by the elaborate jewellery that they were loaned to wear for the sake of self promotion to gain column inches, and not necessarily to their own personal tastes!

Everyone just looks great in their jewelry, they just emphasize their images with them.My friend once organized a show of her new collection of things and they just spent a whole month picking up the necessary jewelry that will complement their image. Her new collection and all her efforts were appreciated because there was enough outdoor stages and everyone could see everything. All the photographers and their assistants were very happy that there was enough space. And the lighting engineer had so many different angles that even sometimes the light reflected off her dresses and jewelry.Just imagine this beauty which my friend was able to organize.
I wonder what she would do if the jewelry broke during the show as it was at this event.I was lucky that I didn't get a shard from the so-called emerald in my glass.

Is it wrong that I want to pull apart those huge pieces and re-design them? lol The ones I love though are the amethyst drop earrings.

I'd love to design jewellery like that, but better (says my ego lol).

Until reality hits. I don't have those huge stones, not enough budget for big bling and setting and oh, where am I going to wear them to? Plus, no figure and gowns to match!
