I have a wedding/anniversary ring with channel set 0.3 tcw G VS2 diamonds, which have been bought couple years ago from B&M store and therefore not cut all too well. My husband has ordered me an engagement ring, which is a 0.78 D VS2 excellent cut princess solitaire (can''t wait!!

In all the excitement that I`m finally getting an egagement ring, I`m also worried that the wedding ring will look really dull and/or yellow next to the new princess. Or do you think because the diamonds on the wedding ring are quite small, the colour difference won''t be that visible (that`s what I keep telling myself)?

Thanks for your advice!

I doubt you''ll really see a difference at all. But like you said, it depends on a bunch of factors. The ring is coming right? So just wait and see!

I think those tiny diamonds will show up as more "bling" than anything, with the surrounding metal adding to the shine. I have a hard time believing you''d see any color in there, but I''m no expert.

You should be fine. And, congrats on the e-ring!

I have always heard/believed that smaller diamonds show less color. I think you''ll be fine. Can''t wait to see it all together!

If it''s any help, I wear a 1.59ct J solitaire with a G/H eternity band.

My center stone on my engagement ring is a E and I wear it with a 2.0 ctw eternity band with G/H diamonds. As hard as I try to find the difference, I can''t see anything. I think it''s true that smaller stones like the .10 pointers on my band don''t show as much color when near a larger stone.

Thanks everybody for your input!! Thanks to you, I have peace of mind now and can enjoy the anticipation of a beautiful sparkly coming soon!

Should be no problem!
