I recently purchased the following diamond: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/7005

However, I am thinking of upgrading it to go a tiny bit bigger and am considering the following: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/7131/

I am just a bit concerned about the SI2 and and as a relative newbie to all of this wondered if some of you experts could take a look and let me know what you think. Will the inclusions affect the diamond''s performance or structural integrity?

I am waiting to hear back from Jonathan who I know will give me an honest answer but in the meantime thought I would put it out there for some of your opinions. Would really appreciate it if you could let me know if you think it would be a smart upgrade.

Thanks.

Eyeclean SI2s in this size range are very doable, and you can trust GOG to honestly tell you if the diamond meets your eyeclean specifications, if there are any durability or perfomance issues, etc. I think the spread difference would be noticeable, it's up to you if it's worth whatever the price difference is

Ditto, Jon will be completely honest with you, also with a top cut hand selected stone there should not be any durability or performance issues, but discuss your concerns with him and he will be pleased to advise you.

Thank you for the replies. Jonathan has been very helpful too and I think I am going to go for this one.
