Hello all,

total depth % - 61.7
table size % - 57

Stone #2 round brilliant
carat - 1.72

pavilion depth % - 42.3

culet - none

All comments very much appreciated!!!

do you have the pavillion angle on the second stone? Angles are more accurate than percentages. So far both stones look fine.

Both look fine; I''d likely select the second one because the depth will let it maximize the spread.

So would you both agree that given the price is the same for both stones, I should go for the bigger one?

thanks!

I also like the second one. And it''s bigger, so yeah.

yeah, I''d go for the second one because I like the depth percentage more. Don''t worry about the F color, it will still be icey white.

gawd ... i''m loving the consistency of your comments!!! it''s being shipped from london tomorrow and i should be able to view it on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7.89 / 7.67 = 1.028

2nd stone is out of round

good catch julie...

Jules .... what does "out of round" mean???

technically, a stone is out-of-round when the large diameter/small diameter>1%

Some stones get Excellent or Ideal symmetry, even though there is more than 1% deviation. Labs can make there own call, and if they say it's Excellent or Ideal symmetry (no off-roundness noticeable to the eye) then that is cool with me.

I am only pointing out that there is a 3% deviation, which may explain why stone 2 has "very good" symmetry (which may be visible) which may impact performance. But you will get to call that yourself.

Any ideas what Tiffany means by "precision?"

Julie ... thanks for that. I''ve asked what "precision" implies and will post shortly.

precision implies precision of cut .... i have NO idea what that means though :)
